Sage green is showing up everywhere – from wall paints, to kitchen cabinets to a variety of home goods. While the color can get a little too earthy for my liking, the varieties available are getting into the livelier and brighter tones.
This color is a great neutral because you can pull through a pop that contrasts or complements, from red and maroon to white and navy blue. Whatever your tastes may be, it’s easy to see why some have called sage green the color of 2017. Keep reading for the sources of these fantastic sage green inspirational items.

Sage in the Kitchen
This pin from Coco + Kelley declaring sage green the color of spring 2017 sparked my curiosity. The cabinets are from a home styled by Sarah Stacey – love that the home owners went with the bolder color choice for their cabinets!
Island
A lovely sage green kitchen island goes well with matching cupboards or cabinets in so many varieties – it doesn’t have to be matchy matchy to look good.
Chairs
What to add a little pop to your wood or white table? These chairs add a bit of sage green and I love the curved pieces to give more character. I could see painting current chairs to add sage green elements without going monochromatic.
Stools
With so many stool options out there today, a sage stool is a great option to pull through a subtle sage green.
Sage in the Living Room
A sage green couch is a neutral color that can work in many decor styles. Although the description doesn’t say it’s velvet, but it looks like velvet or velveteen – my favorite!
Loveseat
While this loveseat is a beautiful and colorful floral pattern there are some sage green colors in there. It would go great with a sage green couch, or really any of the other colors in the fabric.
Add a sage pillow for a lovely accent color. This pillow has many other colors to pull through and the texture gives an interesting element.
Sage in the Bedroom
I am in love with this nightstand! The teal color, white and gold/brass accents. Too lovely and a great piece for a room with more neutral bedding. Or, to layer into an muted boho chic room.
Bedding in sage is an easy to find. It is a light neutral in shades from earthy sage to breezy beach sage. This layered bedding comes in a variety of beachy shades.
Artwork
I love the subtle yet vibrant artwork by Susan Avis Murphy. These are two pieces with sage green accents. You can order prints online. I could see these pieces in any room – bedroom, living room, dining room or bathroom.
Sage Green Rugs
Rugs are an easy way to pull through all sage or sage accents. Plus, they are easily changed out if you want to mix up your color palette.
